ABOUT THE STEEL CITY LEGACY LEAGUE
The Steel City Legacy League, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2026 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, with a mission to strengthen the community through the game of basketball. Founded on the principles of leadership, service, mentorship, and unity, the league serves as more than a summer competition—it is a movement dedicated to creating opportunities that positively impact generations to come. The league’s inaugural season will tip off in 2027, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Coatesville basketball history.
Founded by Emmett Hunt, the Steel City Legacy League was created with a vision to inspire the youth, build camaraderie among men from all walks of life, and use basketball as a platform to bring the community together. Recognizing the power of sports to unite people across neighborhoods, backgrounds, and generations, Hunt envisioned a league where competition, respect, and community service go hand in hand.
